Prompt: Things I like and dislike about myself
I like that I can cook and not make anyone seriously ill.
I don’t like that I eat too much of said cooking.
I like that my nails and hair grow at twice the rate of most people’s.
I don’t like that I have to get my haircut more often than most people. Not that I do. I wait until I can’t take it anymore and beg Sarah to squeeze me in.
I like that I’m resourceful. When I don’t know how to do something, I figure it out. It’s amazing what you can find on the interwebs.
I don’t like that I can be sorta clumsy — I just flung salsa-covered chicken across my desk.
I like that I have a sense of humor. In fact, I have such a grand sense of humor, I’m often the only one laughing.
I don’t like that I let myself gain so much weight back. Bad, Jamie.
I like that I stuck it out through the years of working nights and the months (seemed like years) of writing sports to round-out what I think is a pretty damn good career.
I don’t like how I trust people as much as I do. I keep reminding myself that trust should be earned.
I like that I’m resilient. I’m still standing.
I don’t like how I bite and pick at my nails when I’m stressed. I should wear gloves or something.
